Kurdish forces backed by the U.S. launch offensive in Irak

Around 7,500 Kurdish fighters, backed by the U.S., have launched an offensive to retake to retake the Iraqi town of Sinjar from ISIL. Thousands of women were captured and used as slaves. They estimate there are about 500 Jihadists in the town.
