Hawaii is no longer paradise: number of homeless rises 61% since 2000

The idyllic image of Hawaii as a dream destination starts to fade.   The number of homeless people in Hawaii has increased 61% since 2000, reaching a rate of 487 homeless people for every 100,000 inhabitants, the highest in the U.S.
