South Korean ‘mermaids’ in danger of extinction

Free diving from 9 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon and carrying a knife, they descend 10 meters in search of mollusks and algae. Half a century ago there were thousands, but now there are only about 4,500 active all between 60 and 90 years old.
