France investigates the presence of children on test train that derailed on Saturday

Although investigators have dropped the terrorist hypothesis and rule “excessive speed” as the cause of the derailment, the investigation does not exclude the possibility of sabotage. It is the worst French high-speed accident in decades, and will delay the train’s inauguration in April.

The number of victims after high-speed train derailment on Saturday rises to 11. The train, with 29 technicians, derailed during a test run in Eckwersheim. The company SNCF is investigating the presence of children on the train that fell into a canal.
