Several leaders of 'Kiss of Love' movement, arrested in India for prostitution
The ‘Kiss of Love’ movement was born as a form of protest after a mob attacked a cafeteria in Kozhikode condemning the “immoral activity” of the couples who showed affection. Pasupalan successfully started the initiative in the entire country and the “moral” debate has divided the country. The activist is also persecuted for opposing the government.
Rahul Pasupalan, leader of the Kiss of Love movement, and his wife, Rashmi Nair, have been arrested in Kerala. The police received information that led to the arrest of the couple over prostitution charges. Both have been arrested under confusing circumstances.
