Opposition fires tear gas and pepper spray in Kosovo Parliament

Lawmakers were to debate the government’s proposed budget for next year. The protest was led by one of the opposition’s main lawmakers, Albin Kurti. Kurti has set off tear gas in the parliament several times to demand the government to scrap a deal to regulate ties between Serbia and Kosovo, its former province. Lawmakers later returned to the Parliament and continued the session.
