Rich Arab countries have hit the jackpot with Colombian mercenaries willing to fight at a time when demand for army enlistment in such dangerous places like Yemen and Syria, is minimal. The Saudis prefer Colombians because many are former soldiers with extensive experience fighting against FARC.
Hired by Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, these Latin American mercenaries are going to the frontline and fighting against the rebels for $3,000 or $4,000 a month. About 450 Latin American soldiers have already arrived for state secret missions.
