25-carat pink diamond found among jewelry collections of the former first lady of the Philippines
Apparently, it is a gemstone cut in the eighteenth century from the Golconda region of India valued at five million dollars. For 30 years, over 700 of Imelda’s diamonds remained stored in a vault of the Philippines Central Bank when the first lady and former dictator Ferdinand Marcos fled the Philippines after his overthrow in 1986.
A 25-carat pink diamond has appeared in a jewelry collection that belonged to the former first lady of the Philippines, Imelda Marcos. According to the auction house in the last 250 years only three of such diamonds have been auctioned.
