IBM is studying how to predict earthquakes and volcanoes

This advance could be accurate within days, months, and even years. Part of the importance of this new model simulator is that it gives an approach to how Earth’s crust moves. Today seismic sensors are not yet able to predict such natural phenomena. Hence the importance of Watson, its artificial intelligence system would be able to develop models. It could also be given data and recent research, which provide a precise approach of patterns within a large amount of information.
