Author of drawing in tribute to Paris victims arrested in Iran

Hadi Heidari was arrested this Monday while working at the Shahrvand newspaper office. His crime was a series of drawing he made two years ago. This Saturday he made a drawing as a tribute to the victims in Paris.

“Two years ago Heidari was sentenced to prison for a year after his drawings. Authorities had a different interpretation than what he wanted to transmit,” stated his lawyer. Hadi recently published caricatures following the Beirut and Paris attacks.
