The MoMA honors Cate Blanchett
Rajendra Roy, commissar of the museum’s department of film, said it was ‘thrilled to honor a woman who embodies the greatest traditions of screen acting, while fiercely embracing innovation and risk.’ The MoMA has previously honored movie icons like Pedro Almodóvar or Tim Burton.
The two-time Oscar winning actress, Cate Blanchett, was honored at a glamorous gala hosted by the Museum Of Modern Art or MOMA in New York. The funds from the gala will go to the institutions’ cinematographic collection.
