Tourists must wear sari to enter Hindu temple in Varanasi

Pilgrims had complained that some women were not properly dressed to be in one of the most sacred sites of Hinduism. Therefore, tourists with shorts and knee-high dresses will be given a sari. Vishwanath receives more than 20 million people each year.

Women who want to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varasani must wear a sari, the traditional dress of Indian women. The clothes will be handed free at the temple’s entrance.
