A “conclusive study” on coffee: more consumption, lower mortality risk

The study is based on the habits of 167.000 women and 40.000 men. Walter Willet, responsible for the study, says a “regular consumption of coffee is inversely linked with risk of premature mortality.” The results are similar among those who drink decaffeinated coffee because caffeine is not key.

An awaited Harvard study assures people that drink between 3 to 5 cups of coffee have “a 15% lower risk” of premature death, in comparison to those who don’t drink coffee.

The study is based on the habits of 167.000 women and 40.000 men. Walter Willet, responsible for the study, says a “regular consumption of coffee is inversely linked with risk of premature mortality.” The results are similar among those who drink decaffeinated coffee because caffeine is not key.
