I cannot imagine including a gun, rifle or knife in my luggage. I ask myself how accustomed are these people to carrying a weapon that when passing through a security checkpoint, they forget that it was among their belongings.

The vast majority simply forgot that they had a weapon in their luggage…

Some are arrested and others must pay fines of up to eleven thousand dollars, for not having followed the established procedures by the United States and not making the appropriate report to the airline.

In a week some 67 weapons, a record number, were retained in airport security checkpoints. What remains unclear is whether more people traveled armed or simply that more confiscations were produced.

However listen to what is more serious according to the Department of Security. During a trial operative, undercover agents discovered that 67 of 70 weapons passed security checkpoints without a hassle. This was the reason for the dismissal of several directors.

Coming from a country without an army such as Costa Rica, leads to a total refusal, at least in my case, to carry any kind of weapon. The only thing I have carried is a small knife given as a present from my husband to help open simple wrappings.

I cannot imagine including a gun, rifle or knife in my luggage. I ask myself how accustomed are these people to carrying a weapon that when passing through a security checkpoint, they forget that it was among their belongings.

In several occasions we have had to air the massacres of children, students, religious communities, headed by a single person, whom in their mental imbalance had complete access to a weapon or several weapons.

The American people are divided regarding the debate over the possession of firearms.

I always mention the South Korean case, which penalizes anyone that possesses or uses a fire weapon with up to ten years of prison.

On one occasion, I asked an Olympic shooting champion what his recommendation would be. His answer was quick and blunt. Not to carry any weapon.
