Sarkozy backs Hollande after 13N but believes France should have reacted "in January"

The Republican president has said that although «being content would be a grave error,” » the response to terrorism» is to increase security and that the government’s commitment is «going in the right direction.» However, Sarkozy has insisted that Hollande should have acted in January after the attacks of Charlie Hebdo: «We waited too long » to take action.

«I agree, with the government- on a state of emergency, on the deprivation of nationality,» said Sarkozy at his first meeting after 13N, » I approve the emergency powers to chase the murderers. But France should have reacted in January,» he says.
